GENSTEMED Project GDPR Policy

1. What data do we collect?
The Gender and STEM Education in Romania (“GENSTEMED”) Project Team* collects the following data: Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)

2. How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Our Project Team with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you: Register online, voluntarily complete a customer survey, or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.

Our Project Team may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:
Data you have previously agreed to share with another Project Team member.

3. How will we use your data?
Our Project Team collects your data so that we can:
Process survey responses you have shared with us and manage your account.
Contact you about Project activities about which you have requested information.
Email you about news, events or other information about which you have requested information.

If you agree, some members of Our Project Team will share your data within other members of Our Project Team so that they can respond to specific requests for information that you have made.

4. How do we store your data?
Our Project Team securely stores your data on local computers belonging to Our Project Team members and in secure online locations utilizing GDPR-compliant tools including Dropbox, Google Forms, Amazon Web Services databases, OVH Hosting, etc.
Our Project Team will keep your data for five years. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by removing it from all secure local and online locations.

5. Marketing
Our Project Team will not send you marketing information unless you agree to this explicitly. In the latter case, you will only be contacted by members of the Project Team, including:

AFIST
Hermann Oberth International School

If you have agreed to receive marketing information, you may always opt out at a later date. You have the right at any time to stop Our Project Team from contacting you for marketing purposes.

6. What are your data protection rights?
Our Project Team would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request Our Project Team for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Our Project Team correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Our Project Team to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Our Project Team erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Our Project Team restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Our Project Team’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Our Project Team transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

The websites and online tools utilized by Our Project Team contain links to other websites. Our privacy policy applies only to our websites, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.

Our Project Team keeps its privacy policy under regular review and places any updates on this page. This privacy policy was last updated on 15 October 2024.
